bottle rockets workshop

Re-Work

Children from Foundation are required to understand about measuring and capacity, and this progresses to the physics of propulsion in upper secondary.

This workshop is always a hit and one your students will remember. Foundation to Year 12.

We've organised our Bottle Rockets

workshops into three types:

First Launchers Workshop

ON-SITE WORKSHOP

This workshop is designed for beginners. After some quick test/demonstration launches we make and attach fins and a nosecone, before launching again. We usually have time to compare a couple of launch techniques.

Just Launch Workshop

ON-SITE WORKSHOP

If you're thinking "we just want to make things go boom" then this is the workshop for you. We keep things as simpe and launch as many rockets as possible.  We might sneak in a few questions or suggestions of how to improve launch success.

Launch R&D Workshop

ON-SITE WORKSHOP

In this workshop we seek to test how various factors affect the flight path of the rocket. We can consider ratios of water to air, different size rockets, the impact of fins/nosecone, different launch angles and launch pressures.

We provide the equipment and data sheets for the activity.
