Can you really cover everything listed in the curriculum guides?

The short answer... not in a single workshop.

The long answer... Ben has spent the majority of his teaching in Steiner/Waldorf schools, blending curriculum topics and finding alternative ways to approach topics (particularly in science and maths). Please let us know if our approach isn't clear.

If there are specific topics you want covered, please ask (at least 1 week prior to the workshop).

What happens if something breaks or goes missing?

This will come down to context. Is the part replaceable? Does it ruin the integrity of the kit it was part of? Did it break through reasonable use or mistreatment? Was it a few pieces out of a set of thousands of identical parts?

To explain by way of examples:

  • If a critical part of the Lego Mindstorms kit is lost, the rest of the $1000 kit becomes unusable for it's intended purpose. The part would need to be replaced and this cost would be passed on to the customer.

  • We've designed and printed the stamps in the Small World Play kits and are nervous about them breaking. Playdough is firm and the bigger the stamps got the reinforcment they needed. There will likely be some redesign as we go. Breakages would not be charged to customers.

We aim to be fair. If you have any concerns, please ask.
